Taiwans climate

Taiwan has a tropical climate varying from hot and humid in the south, to cooler temperatures in the north and inland mountainous region. winters are short and tend to be mild, white summer is usually hot. with plenty of humidity, throughout the country sudden rain showers occur frequently and visitors are advised to travel with rain gear.


in the typon season (may to nov) fludding and mudslides are commom. make sure that you check the weather before you stay in taiwan, because taiwan can come across harsh weather. cloudiness is persistent and extensive all year round. the climate is tropical, marine, rainy season during southwest monsoon.

Tsushih temple

In the 13th century Chen Chao-Ying tried to stop the Mongolians from invading china. After Chen Chao-Ying died, Chen was given the name Tsu-Shih, meaning “Great ancestor.” Chinese immigrants in Taiwan built the Tsushih Temple to honour Tsu-Shih in 1769.
This temple, is located south-west of Taipei, is considered to be one of the country’s best decorated temples. The ceilings have wooden carvings showing dragons. The walls and columns are also covered with carvings and Chinese inscriptions. The Tsushih temple has been rebuilt several times due to the amount or earthquakes and wars.


Kaohsiung

Kaohsiung is Taiwan second largest city. This city has the island’s largest seaport, major industrial centres and an international airport. The Kaohsiung port is the world's third largest container port behind Hong Kong and Singapore with extremely large grounds for repairs and maintenance.  

From the Taipei, Kaohsiung it about a four to six hours drive on the north-south highway. Buses, trains and planes make the trips down to the city. The visitors may choose to Kaohsiung from Hong Kong or other destinations.

Sun Yatsen Memorial

This is a memorial that is located in the eastern part of the city on Section 4 of Jenai Road. The building has a sweeping curved-up Chinese roof made with yellow tiles. When you walk into the lobby there is a six-meter-high bronze statue of Sun Yatsen.

History Of Taiwan

It is believed that in the 12th century  groups of Japanese occupied parts of Taiwan, and they eventually claimed possession of the eastern portion of Taiwan from the 15th century on.  The Portuguese went to Taiwan in 1590, thus becoming the first set of Europeans to arrive.  They were so impressed with the island, they called it Formosa, which means beautiful.  In 1692, the Dutch frustrated Spanish attempts at developing settlements by taking possession of the P'enghu Islands.  Within three years, the Dutch were on Taiwan's southeastern coast.

Where is Taiwan

The beautiful Island of Taiwan, located eastern region of Asia. Taiwan is an island off the southeast coast of the Asian contenent, about 100miles across the Taiwan straits of the mainland china. It lies between Japan (to the north) and Phillipines ( to the south)it is an esential hub for travelling to Asia.
Taiwan is worth while visiting because of its varied beauty and wonderful avents that occur each season.
